Research: Storyboard

The next stage was to take the persona and create a scenario which is a typical user journey that your persona would take and shows how and when your system or whatever your designing is used. The scenario allowed me to develop insight into what my target audience actually want to get from such a system and the certain moods/feelings they would have when they use the system. In this instance my persona doesn't have a lot of free time so the system has to be quick and efficient in order to meet his needs, otherwise he simply wouldn't use it.

The journey in words:

Freddie wakes up at 9am on Monday to get to his first lecture at 10am. He grabs a banana on the way as he’s become aware of his 5 a day needs from one of his goals set by the information system. After his lecture he heads to the OneZone for lunch and logs into the information system by swiping his UWE card. He logs his daily food consumption and his recommendations for the rest of the day are shown to him. He is able to view a pie chart of his daily intake of nutrients which he finds easy to understand and act on. He then selects a meal from the recommendations and chooses to pay for his meal using the credits that his parents top up each month. He eats at the OneZone 3 times a week which allows him to keep on track of his diet and have enough money to spend on other aspects. When not eating at the OneZone he uses the app to find recipe ideas for meals and logs his daily food consumptions. This is all saved on the system for when he next logs in when in the OneZone.
